A New Bike Adventure Begins!   🚲

I’m so thrilled to share that I finally bought myself a bike — a special gift to celebrate both my graduation and my birthday! 🎉 After researching different types, styles, and brands, I came across this one that immediately caught my attention. As a 5’4” Asian woman and a beginner, it can be really tough to find the right size and fit, but this one felt just right!

I’ve always loved hiking, but I’ve been craving the freedom to explore farther and discover new places with breathtaking views. Cycling seemed like the perfect next step — a way to travel with ease while still enjoying the outdoors.

And of course, if you know me, you know I’m all about being efficient and prepared. That means making sure I have the right accessories and essentials (I put the list of them with links if you ever need one too) for every ride and adventure. Whether I’m riding solo or with friends, I want to be ready for anything — especially those unpredictable moments or emergencies that can pop up when you least expect them.

Getting this bike brought back so many happy childhood memories. Back then, cycling was everything! Before I ever got into motorcycles, biking was where it all started. I still remember how my childhood friends would come pick me and my cousin up so we could ride together, stop for snacks, and just explore wherever the road led us. We used to customize our bikes to reflect our personalities — it was fun, spontaneous, and unforgettable. Some of the best moments of my life started on two wheels.

And now, here I am in my 30s, feeling just as excited to welcome my third bike! This one’s quite different from the first bike I got from my dad and the electric one I recently purchased. The best part? This time, the company is assembling the bike for me — unlike the electric one I had to put together myself (and wow, was that a challenge 😅).

A few of my friends here in L.A. love cycling in their free time, and I’ve always admired that. Now it’s finally my turn! I can’t wait for the bike to arrive — hopefully just in time for my special day.
